News Assessment

The report "Southern California winds have fire officials on alert" was published on the L.A Times website and well informed about the red-flag alert on wild fire in southern California due to the high gust Santa Ana wind.
The report was well-written because it was easy to read yet contains excellent explanation about advise and information from the professionals and authorities. For Example, "
Meyer said fire officials had determined that the strength and duration of the winds provided "time to dry things out enough so that we have a critical danger." The Author was able to quote the expert's easy-understanding metaphor in order to explain the whole "high gust warm wind causes wild fire" situation in Southern California.
In the other hand, the author supplemented the report with pictures, showing how the weather condition related to the story.
